Your Health and physical condition is important.  If you enjoy walking and moving about, you will enjoy this tour.  Conversely, if you do not enjoy these things, you may not find this tour agreeable.  Be sure to take comfortable (not new) walking shoes.  If you have diet restrictions, this tour may not be for you, as special preparations of food  cannot be assured.  Tour participants who require any form of assistance (wheelchairs, walkers, etc.) must be accompanied by a helper who is capable of, and totally responsible for providing such assistance.

The first winter carnival in McCall was in 1924, a fun filled three days that started when the largest train ever to enter McCall arrived carrying 248 persons, including Idaho Governor C. Moore.  The Payette lakes Sports Carnival, as it was then called, treated its guests to a large variety of events, dog sled racing; with driv­ers from all over the state, ski racing and jumping, ski joring (a skier pulled by a horse), snow shoveling contests and snowshoe races.
