ANGKOR WAT EXTENSION

Much has been written of the grandeur and the mystery of Angkor Wat, one of the grandest temples in Asia.  Angkor's reputation as a real wonder of the world currently is on par with the great pyramids of Egypt
of the last Inca City of Macchu Piccu.

ITINERARY AS FOLLOWS:

 

Day 15, 08 December

Bangkok -
Siem Reap

A short flight from Bangkok will take you to Siem Reap your gateway to the most magnificent collection of temples in South East Asia, The Angkor Wat.  Upon arrival we will transfer to your super deluxe hotel.  In the afternoon visit Prasat Kravan, Banteay Kdei, Sras Srang and Ta Prohm temple.  Visit of Angkor Wat temples until sunset.  (D=Dinner)

Day 16, 09 December

Siem Reap

A full day of guided tour of Angkor Wat will take place today.  Constructed between 9th and 13th century, the temples were built aroudn the Khmer interpretations of Indian religious beliefs that ultimately evolves from Hinduism to Hinduism just like Prambanan and Borobudur temples in central Java, Indonesia also built in the 9th century. Angkor was once the capital city of the mighty Khmer Empire an it was a walled city of five square miles protected by a moat, with wide avenues lined with huge stone figures.  Visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon, Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper king.  Visit Preah Khan, Neak Pean, Ta Som, Pre Rup and Estern Mebon.

Day 17, 10 December

Siem Reap


This morning visit the equally famous temples of Banteay Srey and Banteay Samre.  Afterwards visit a floating village and take a boat trip on the Tonle Sap (Great Lake).

Day 18, 11 December

Siem Reap - Bangkok

 

Morning flight back to Bangkok.
Free at leisure upon arrival in Bangkok for your last night in this beautiful land. (B)
